Very Small Magnets Can Kill

Tiny powerful magnets in many popular toys can fall out, and are easily swallowed by children. Two or more magnets in different parts of the child's intestine can then join, rupturing the bowel and requiring a medical operation. At least one case resulted in death, according to Channel 4.

From summer 2008 toys with these magnets must carry a special warning label in the EU.
